The Rock Musician

The band's name BRÖSELMASCHINE was based on a phantasy appliance called Haschzerbröselmaschine and the motorbike, Jenny Schmücker's boyfriend rode. We started in 1969, playing in and around Duisburg.

Founding members apart from myself were Peter Bursch and Michael Hellbach and the well-known German entertainer Helge Schneider.

The members of the band shared an appartment in Duisburg. We bought our stage equipment from Procol Harum and produced our first LP in a studio in 1971. In 1973, the group disbanded after having released three albums.

Using mostly accustic instruments, we were rather well-known at the time for playing psychedelic folk rock with contemplative lyrics in both, English and German. The album first released in 1971 was re-released by the French label "Spalax Music" in 1994.

Meanwhile the band has had a concert in Bonn earlier in 2006 which was broadcast via WDR TV and is more active than it has been for a very long time. For further information see Bröselmaschine.
